Yvonne Jennings Florence was born on November 5, 1953. Her life was well lived, and she was well loved by many! The Lord called her home in a peaceful manner on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Born in Greensboro, NC, Yvonne spent her life as a dedicated, faithful, and loving person. She had a long-standing relationship with God and was very blessed with her faith to her dying breath. She faithfully attended Saint James Baptist Church of Greensboro, NC until her death. She is survived by one son, Tommy (Anita) Florence, two daughters; Tequila (Haywood) Shephard, Tornaia Pinnix; one sister: Amanda Morehead, Greensboro, NC; three brothers: Joseph (Charlesetta) Jennings, Winston-Salem, NC, Mackey (Marva) Jennings, Newnan, GA, Carey (Vickey) Jennings, Locust Grove, GA; sixteen grandchildren: Tafari Alexander, Tykil Florence, Zsimon Florence, Jazmin Rose, Tylib Florence, Darin Douglas, Avery Pinnix, Taleia Shephard, Kendra Shephard, Angel McAllister, Nottia Rosser, Naveah Smith, Zamari Montgomery, Ziymera Neal, and Kingston Mims; and a very devoted nephew, Clayton Womack, Greensboro, NC. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 24, 2020, 6:00pm at St. Thomas Pentecostal Holiness Church, Greensboro, NC. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery.
