Pastor Willie Pearl Morgan died on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Pearl was born on November 12, 1958 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Willie and Pinkie Sanders. Pearl graduated from Page Senior High School in Greensboro, NC and received an Associates Degree from Brookstone College. She retired from Guilford County Health Depart where she worked in Family Planning and Medicade Intake. Pearl loved the Lord and was dedicated to doing His work. She was passionate about outreach and blessing others. She was a firm believer that what you make happen for others, God will make it happen for you. She was the Pastor of The Cathedral of Deliverance Church of God for 8 years. As Pastor, she constantly preached about soul salvation. She wanted everyone she came in contact with to know the Lord, and except Pearl was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife. She often told the story of how she loved to draw and how she drew a picture of a man which resembled her late husband Alton Morgan. She would always say "I drew him into her life". They were together for 35 years until he proceeded her in death on May 10, 2015. Left to cherish her loving memory are her father and mother Willie and Pinkie Sanders, two sons Alton D. Morgan Sr (Kiri), Antoine D. Morgan (Brandi); one daughter: Angela D. Morgan; four grandchildren, Cameron, Deon Jr, Hailey, and Mason. One sister Patricia Johnson (Anthony) two brothers, Elijah Sanders (Celestine) Ivan Sanders (LeAne); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A service honoring the life of Pastor Morgan will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Cathedral of Deliverance Church of God; 3612 Summit Ave, Greensboro, North Carolina 27405. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. The interment will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N Ohenry Boulevard, Greensboro, North Carolina 27405.
