Obituary

William (Billy) Harvey Taylor (also known as Malik Sinceer) passed away suddenly in peace on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Greensboro, NC at the age of 47. He was born on Wednesday, October 27, 1971 to Eunice Jean Taylor and Clarence B. Williams in Greensboro, NC. At a very young age he was introduced to Daniel H. Jones who assumed the role of his father. As an avid reader and writer, he obtained his early education in the Guilford County School system. While his formal educational years were numbered, Billy spent his life devoted to self-empowerment through education and exposure to various philosophical ideas and concepts. His humor and candor was a strong, consistent component of his personality throughout childhood and adult life. These attributes played a major part in his life aspirations and accomplishments. Billy started his entrepreneurial journey selling CDs of self-produced music under the name of Malik Sincere. He spent years self-promoting and performing as a means to support himself, along with a group of creative like-minded friends. He wrote his first book, "You are not a Failure" and spent many subsequent years spreading his message of self-preservation and empowerment through book sales and networking. His creative energy and persistence sparked many life endeavors, including music production, published writing and even stand-up comedy. A beloved and respected son, brother, father and friend, Billy is survived by his Mother: Jean Moravian (Willie) of Greensboro, NC; Father: Daniel Jones (Betty) of Laurel, MD; Children: Sergio Broadnax of Greensboro, NC, Aaron Taylor of Greensboro, NC and Iman Yamini of Atlanta, GA; Siblings: Randi Blakeney (Ralph) of Charlotte, NC, Glaston Jones (April) of Greensboro, NC and Danielle Gadson (Odis) of Concord, NC; 3 nieces, 5 nephews; and a host of close cousins, aunts and uncles.
