William Michael Logan was born June 1, 1964, to William and Elizabeth (Lovady) Perkins, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Michael was baptized at the age of 16, at Holy Temple Holiness Church. He graduated from James B. Dudley High School in 1982. He also attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was also an employee in 1989. Michael was also an employee at North Carolina Central University. At the time of his transition, he was employed at Central, where he started as the hazardous waste program specialist in 1994, interim director of health and safety, but completed his career as construction engineer. He later married Brenda Alston of Durham, North Carolina. Michael is preceded in death by his father, William Logan; and leaves to cherish his memories his wife Brenda, his mother, Elizabeth, of Greensboro, NC. Funeral services will be held at Genesis Baptist Church, 2812 East Bessemer Avenue, Greensboro, NC; family hour 12:30 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 1 p.m.
