On, March 9, 2020, at 9:33 pm, Almighty God reached out from the heavenly realm and called home His loving and faithful servant: William Bryce 'WB' Brown, Jr. of 308 Oaks Drive, Gibsonville, North Carolina. WB was born on August 16, 1935 to Bryce and Christine Brown, in Person County, North Carolina. After graduating from Person County High School in 1953, WB enrolled at A&T College (now NCA&T State University). There he met Nadine Stewart, who became his wife of 63 years. To this union, three children were born: Ladonna, Bill and Andre. In 1963, WB was hired by P. Lorillard in Greensboro. He worked as a Laboratory Technician, before being promoted to Line Supervisor, in the manufacturing division. WB was highly regarded and greatly respected by his coworkers. In addition to being a dedicated husband and father, WB held an unwavering faith in God. He professed faith in Christ at an early age and joined the Prospect Hill Baptist Church in Person County. He later moved his membership to New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. WB also expressed his faith through gospel music. Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, he spent over 50 years as the lead singer for the Gate City Vocalaires, a Greensboro-based gospel quartet. After retiring from P. Lorillard in 1993, WB Established 'B's Auto Sales,' which featured affordable pre-owned vehicles. Regarded as 'Mister B' by his customers, WB frequently offered personal financing to help low-income consumers obtain transportation. In 2000, WB fulfilled a long-term dream. At age 65 , he purchased a new Honda motorcycle and became a serious rider. This commitment led him to a membership in the Buffalo Soldiers organization. WB loved the Buffalo Soldiers and its members. For more than 15 years, he participated in long interstate rides, as well as the organization's charitable activities. WB is survived by his wife, Nadine; his daughter, Ladonna Solomon; his two sons, William 'Bill' Brown lll and Andre Brown; his five grandchildren, Darell Brown, William Brown, Morgan Montgomery, Phillip Montgomery, and Senora Surgeon; his seven great grandchildren; his brother, Ray Brown; his son-in-law, Steven Solomon; and his daughter-in-law, Johnetta Brown.
