On August 18, 2016, William Clifton Brown departed this life at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital surrounded by friends and loved ones. He was born in Bladenboro, NC to the late Lawrence and Vera Brown. He was the seventh child out of ten born of their union. People may not remember what a person said or did, but will always carry with them how one made them feel. Clifton always made everyone who knew him feel uplifted, cared for, and thought about. He was a very kind hearted person who would do anything to help anyone out. He was very light-hearted and loved to laugh. Clifton always told the funniest jokes that kept his family and friends doubled over in laughter. He enjoyed helping his community, and was an active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. He is survived by his wife Glencie Brown, three children: Clifton Jr. Brown, Felecia Brown, and Teishma Brown, two grandchildren, one brother, four sisters, and a host of relatives and friends. A service celebrating his life will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 200 North Regan Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 on Friday August 26, 2016. Family visitation will begin at 12:30 pm and the service will follow at 1:00 pm. The interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 North O'Henry Boulevard, Greensboro, NC 27405. In lieu of flowers, we would like all donations to go to the cancer research institute.
