Mr. Waddell Pearson passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022. A service honoring his life will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Providence Baptist Church at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Burial: Guilford Memorial Park.

Waddell "Wally" Pearson, 95 years old made his transition for eternal rest on Monday morning, April 18, 2022.

Waddell was a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina where he graduated from Carver High School. He attended North Carolina A&T State University earning a BS degree and a MS degree.

He lived an honorable life of giving service through his involvement with his church, fraternity, Hayes Taylor YMCA, North Carolina A&T State University and other professional organizations. He served many years as an educator and coach in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Greensboro City Schools and other educational organizations. Waddell was a Navy World War II Veteran and he also served in the Korean War.

His parents James and Mollie Pearson, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memories is a caring and devoted friend Helen (High School) and a special dedicated student James Talley (Patch). Surviving family members include one son, one daughter, two grandsons, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
