Vina Clarabel Norris McLean, of Greensboro, NC, passed peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Born on April 30, 1935, in Guilford County, NC. She was the youngest of 6 daughters to the late James and Zadie Norris.

She graduated from Dudley Senior High School in 1955 and went on to attend NC Central University and the Durham Business College. She worked for several years at the New L. Richardson Hospital. First, as a greeter and later becoming the hospital switchboard operator. In 1978, she began a new chapter in her career when she joined the federal government. She started with the US Dept of HUD and later moved into a new position with the IRS. Not to long after being with the IRS, she returned to HUD and remained until her retirement in 2006 after 28 wonderful years of service.

She enjoyed music, writing poetry, reading, cooking, and sewing in her spare time. But her most joyful and greatest moment of her life came in 2 parts... her 2 sons. Victor L. McLean (Capitol Heights, MD) and Michael R. McLean (Hays, GA)

She was preceded in death by 2 of her sisters, Katherine Norris Riddick and Pearl Norris Booker.

Vina is survived by 3 sisters; Dorothy Norris Swanson (Mt. Vernon, NY), Anne Norris Davis (Laurel, MD), and Christina Norris Thompson (Greensboro, NC). Her 2 sons; Victor (Her baby) & Michael (Her heart). 1 grandson; Jaquell Snipes (Winder, GA) a host of nieces and nephews, and a lot of friends.

The family has entrusted Perry J. Brown Funeral Home with the arrangements. The Memorial Services will be on January 20, 2023 at 12 Noon at St. James Presbyterian Church, 820 Ross Avenue, Greensboro, NC followed by the interment at Maplewood Cemetery.
