Mrs. Vernell Wilson Camp, a resident of Oak Ridge, NC, was born September 25th 1957 to James Herman King and the late Virginia Ann Wilson. She departed this earth on November 22nd, 2016. She graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in 1975. On August 25th, 1985, she married the love of her life Donnie Eugene Camp. Upon this union, they had a daughter, Sarah Ann Camp, on May 24th, 1988. Mrs. Vernell Camp was an intelligent, strong, loveable and giving person. She loved Jesus, reading, drinking coffee, giving to the community, spending time with her family, and baking with her nieces. She has been a faithful member of Oak Springs Baptist Church for 20 years. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Her loving husband of 31 years Donnie Camp of the home; One daughter, Sarah Camp of Charlotte, NC; Two sisters, Faye King, Bonita Wilson of Jamestown, NC; Father, James King of Greensboro, NC with special regards Willie Gamble(Thelma Gamble) of South Carolina; Uncle, Sammy Capers(Linda Capers) of South Carolina; Nine nieces, Jasmine Wilson of Jamestown, NC, Yahzi Reid of Kernersville, NC, Diamond Thomas of High Point, NC, Madison Michael of High Point, NC, Camille Frazier of High Point, NC, Audrea Hare (Lee Hare) of High Point, NC, Dawn Gilreath-Reid(Cleveland Reid) of Kernersville, NC, Stephanie Poole (Eric Poole) of Washington DC, Skylar Beamon of Houston, TX; Four nephews, Jeremiah Poole of Washington DC, Garrick Camp-Baker(Marion Baker) of Cleveland, OH, Cleavon Beamon (Allison Beamon), Caleb Reid of Kernersville, NC; Two aunts, Lucilla Frazier of Greensboro, NC, Virginia Canty of South Carolina; One brother-In-Law, Jerry Camp (Audrey Camp) of Greensboro, NC; Three sister-in-law's, Mary Beamon(George Beamon) of High Point, NC, Octavia Little(Vernell Little) of High Point, NC, Sheila Camp-Diggs(Terry Diggs) of High Point, NC and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at Oak Springs Baptist Church located at 9070 US-158, Stokesdale, NC 27357 on Tuesday, November 29 at 11:00 am.
