Obituary

A time to be born: Tim David King was born on August 1, 1950 in Caswell County, North Carolina to the late Sam King and the late Brownie Eva King. He was preceded in death by brothers: Randolph, Willie, Sam and Jesse. A time to die: As the sun slipped from sight on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC, our Heavenly Father called Tim David King's name and he answered quietly and peacefully, and was called from his earthly labors to receive his heavenly rewards. A time to love: On July 27, 1976, Tim David King was united in holy matrimony to the late Annie L. King. From this union one child was born, Antwane M. King. A time to work: Tim was educated in the Bartlett Yanceyville School System. He was a mechanic and worked at several shops. He eventually opened his own mechanic business and was self-employed until his retirement. A time to live: Tim left one everlasting impact on everyone he made contact with by calling them goofy, thing one, thing two or boo-boo. And everyone remembered Tim by his hardy laughter, and big heart. He is gone, but never will be forgotten. Those left to cherish Tim's memories: son: Antwane M. King of Greensboro, NC; brothers: Clyde (Debbie), Joe, Troy,, Perry, and Barry; sisters: Eva, Katie, Bertha, and Mary (June); sisters-in-law; Jackie Gray of Norfolk, VA, Marie King; stepmother: Luzetta Farmer; pet dog: Dakota; a special niece: Tonya King; a host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great nephews, great nieces, and other relatives and friends. A service honoring his life will be held at the Perry J. Brown Funeral Home Chapel; 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401 on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. The service will begin at 12:00pm.
