Obituary

Dwight "Sweetie Belle" Sellars was a proud veteran of the US Army. After graduating from Dudley High Class of 1965, he enrolled and served his country completing assignments all across the world, until returning back to his hometown of Greensboro in 1986. Dwight would like you to know that his earthly work here is done. He was called to report to duty on a very special assignment and like a good soldier he left immediately and will not be returning. This next duty station comes with huge benefits, a reunion with his parents James and Callie Sellars, his sisters Shirley and Edwina and brother affectionately known as "Bro". He'll also be united with other family members, friends, army buddies and classmates. This new duty station takes him to a wonderful place where he'll be socializing, dancing and entertaining as he so enjoyed doing. Music, love and laughter are guaranteed. In the new place "In The Heat Of The Night" is always on and The Redskins will finally win the Super Bowl, steak is always on the menu served with a side of Shirley''s potato salad, and Wee Wee''s greens, washed down with a tall glass of milk. He''s always be wearing his DHS c/o of 65 t-shirt with his comfy jeans and tennis shoes. Dwight left behind to cherish his memories his wife (aka "wifey")- Sandra, his daughter Buffy, his sons Teddy (Ashley) and Bud, his granddaughters 'That gurl' Sydney and Marquashia, his brother Roger and sister-in-law Almaka and a host of nieces and nephews whom he nicknamed and loved dearly. Dwight also left behind his 'ride or die' Randy, his sister-in-love and favorite dance partner Cynthia Hall, many other family, friends, army buddies and classmates. Dwight has left an assignment for all of his beloved family, friends and classmates, to continue to celebrate his life through cherished memories knowing one day we will all meet again.
