Mrs. Thelma Burnise Watkins, daughter of the late Lewis J. Williams and Lela Bennett Williams, was born April 1, 1925 in Newton Grove, NC. She departed this life surrounded by family and love on June 3, 2016 in Greensboro, NC. A family visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Saint James Presbyterian Church. A celebration of life will follow at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Dr. Diane Givens-Moffett.She is survived by her daughters, Sharon A. Knight and Lorraine A. Wadelington; goddaughter, Melba Brown; grandchildren, Douglas J. Knight II and Stella D. Wadelington; four sisters: Minnie Burton, Celestine Cheek, Louvenia Sawyer, Jacqueline Raynor, sister-in-law, Jamesena Watkins; one brother, Ralph Williams; two brothers-in-law, Marvin H. Watkins, Jerry Watkins; and a hosts of dear family and friends.
