Stephen Lamont Adams, (Steve), 49, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2016. Stephen was born in Greensboro on June 6, 1967 to Rose Ophelia Adams and Riley Adams. He went to high school at James B. Dudley High School and graduated in 1985. After high school, Stephen began working for Guilford Mills as a textile production manager, where he worked for 10 years. Later in life, he worked at Highland Industries and Thamer Construction for several years. Stephen enjoyed sports, especially bowling and was quite proud of his two 'Perfect 300 Game' trophies. Stephen Adams was a member of the Triad Lanes Bowling Club and many other organizations. He was very active and loved being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Ophelia Adams and his father, Riley Adams. Stephen is survived by his aunt, Valeria Melvin of Browns Summit, and his aunt, Pamela Bailey of Greensboro. He was also survived by his four cousins who were like brothers and sisters to him, Rita Dobson of Jamestown, Jacqueline Bailey of Greensboro , Rosalind Stewart of Greensboro, and William Bailey of Browns Summit. In addition, he leaves behind his special friend, Karen Headen and their son, Supreme Wiggins of Greensboro. Stephen's adventurous spirit, boisterous personality, and wry sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. A service honoring his life will be held at the Perry J. Brown Funeral Home Chapel; 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, North Carolina; 27401on Friday, November 18, 2016. The visitation will begin at 1:30 pm and the service will follow at 2:00 pm.
