Mr. Simeon Rodney Cumberbatch passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023.

We come to celebrate the life of Simeon (Sim) Rodney Cumberbatch, born January 27, 1969, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Richard Allen Cumberbatch and Lorraine Cumberbatch. He was called home on Tuesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 54.

Sim graduated from James B. Dudley High School and completed several post high school trades; most of his work experience has been supervising in manufacturing and warehousing.

Sim's love for life was always apparent, he lit up a room and was the life of the party; boy did he have jokes! You would rarely see him without a smile on his face having the best time of his life and bringing others along for the ride. His generosity expanded across family and friends. He genuinely wanted the best for everyone and would always have your back.

He enjoyed all sports especially 'Dallas Cowboy', backyard cookouts, singing, dancing, cooking, and playing games (cards, pool etc.); as long as he was with the people he loved and his dogs (Swiss & Cash).

Sim was loved by many and will be truly missed. He leaves cherished and loving memories to his children Sequoia Williams and Rondell Anderson; granddaughter Shazyah Williams; sisters Jacqueline Daise-Harris (David) and Annette Davis (Darius); uncles Barry Daise (Avalisa) and James Yates; niece Shaquana Daise; girlfriend Tiffany Welch and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by loving parents and grandparents.

The family would like to thank you for all cards, visits, phone calls and especially prayers during this time. He will be missed by all but never forgotten. Again, we say "Thank you."

A service honoring his life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home; 909 E. Market St. Greensboro, NC 27401. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am and the service will follow at 12 pm.

Burial will take place immediately following the service at Maplewood Cemetery; 235 Bingham St., Greensboro, NC 27401.
