Sherrod Marquette' Whittington, "Tank" (34) of Fort Myers, FL, was called home unexpectedly on Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Miami Beach FL. Sherrod was born on April 19, 1982 to Zenetta Sutton-Jackson and Lorenzo Randolph in Rocky Mount, NC Sherrod leaves a loving family to carry on. Mother, Zenetta Sutton-Jackson,(Gso, NC) father, Lorenzo Randolph(Maryland) Grandfather Joseph M Barnes (Virginia) Daughter, April C. Blanding Sisters: Mardreaka Shontrelle' Whittington (Gso, NC), Stephanie Lancaster (Laurel, MD), Constance Lancaster ( Rockville, MD) Marcus Lancaster and Jada Randolph (Upper Marlboro, MD). Neice,Sherriah (Ma'lani) Whittington and a host of relatives and friends. Sherrod also leaves behind his Fort Myers family, Kendra,Breiann,Mercades,Kiesha and Henry. Sherrod graduated from Dudley High School of Greensboro in 2001. He excelled in many areas including football, ROTC, track and field and weightlifting. Sherrod was employed at Re-Community of Greensboro, NC. He was a model employee. He was promoted to supervisor after transferring to Fort Myers, FL in 2013. When Sherrod wasn't busy working you could find him doing many of his hobbies including fishing, video games,flying his dromes or watching his favorite basketball team,the Cleveland Cavaliers. A service honoring his life will be held at Sanctuary Deliverance Church;3631 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, North Carolina 27405; on Saturday, August 20, 2016. The visitation will begin at 12:30 pm and the service will follow at 1:00 pm. The interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N Ohenry Boulevard, Greensboro, North Carolina 27405.
