Shelba Jean (Hill) Williamson James died peacefully in Hospice in High Point on June 19, 2015 at 12:05 p.m. at the age of 78 years old. Jean is predeceased in death by her father, Curry Hill; mother, Odelia Taylor; son, Wayland B. Williamson, two sisters and one brother.Jean Hill was born in Wayne County on February 2, 1937. She attended James B. Dudley High School and was employed with UNCG Physical Plant as a Supervisor for twenty six years. Jean was married on May 22, 2010 to William H. James and resided with her husband in Greensboro. She is survived by her husband, William H. James; son, Leon Griffin (Shelia); daughters, Sharon Alston (Tony) and Cynthia Simmons of Greensboro; brother, Rudolph Hill (Josephine) of Louisville, KY; sister, Brenda Smith (Montez) of Buffalo, NY, and aunt, Earnistine Taylor Smith (Joseph) of Dunn, NC. A Wake is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 7-8 p.m. at the Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 with burial being at Lakeview Memorial Park on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor William R. Craig officiating the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jean (Hill) Williamson James' life. The family requests all donations to be sent to Hospice of High Point, NC.
