Shawn Stimpson was born on February 21,1972 to Carrie Stimpson in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Women's Hospital and was called home on January 22,2021. He was the third child and the baby of the family.

Shawn graduated from Grimsley High School in May 1990.Shawn played basketball and football.

To many of his friends, Shawn was known as "Puff". He was someone you could look up to for encouraging words. His smile was a smile that would light up any room. If you knew him, you loved him. Shawn did not have children of his own, but he had his niece and nephew who he cherished. He loved to show pictures of his family to anyone he could.

Shawn enjoyed riding his bike for hours. And he loved to be with family and friends. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and joyful spirit. His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his mother (Carrie), uncle (Tony), brother (Jerome), sister (Jessica), niece (Krizia), nephew (Arieal), a great niece and a host of great nephews

In addition, Shawn will be missed by many relatives and friends and his fellow colleagues at Furniture Land South.

A private Memorial Service will be held in the Cassie Coote-Brown Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.
