Sharon Louise Siler Johnson was born on December 16, 1955 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was educated in the Guilford County public schools, graduating from Walter Hines Page Senior High School. She later received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Andrew Jackson University. Sharon was employed at North Carolina A&T State University for more than 25 years, working most of that time in the Office of the Provost. After retirement, she worked part-time at the City of Greensboro for two years. Then she came right back to Aggieland and worked part-time. Being an organ donor recipient herself, Sharon spent many hours at the Department of Motor Vehicles encouraging persons receiving their license to become an organ donor. She also volunteered one day each week at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center. She was always concerned about giving back to the community. On March 27, 2016 Sharon Johnson was called HOME to a city not made by man's hands. God said, "Sharon, well done thou good and faithful servant. You were faithful over a few things, I will make you a ruler over many things, enter into the joy of the Lord." Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Leb Siler, Jr. and Lillie Milton Siler. She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Brittany Johnson; a grandson, Le'Zeb Johnson-Hinson; two brothers, Robert Siler (Reba) and Reginald Siler; four sisters, Patricia Wall, Denise Warren (Robert), Vanessa Lawson (Charles), and Linda Brown; and a host of beloved relatives and friends.A service honoring the life of Mrs. Johnson will take place at United Institutional Baptist Church; 802 East Market Street, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27401 on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the service will follow at 1:30 pm. The interment will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N Ohenry Boulevard, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27405.
