Ms. Shannon Gibson, daughter of the late Janice Gibson was born April 7, 1981, in Greensboro, North Carolina. She departed this life Thursday, June 3, 2021. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Clara Quick Gibson and Vergie Burton.

Her memory will forever be cherished in the lives of her family members: siblings William (Billy) A. Gibson, Cyrus Womack (Heather), Preston Womack, Lisa Womack (David), and Vonda Boone. She shared a special relationship with her aunts and uncles Virginia G. Turner, Myrtle G. Perrin, Johnsie M. Spidell, Joyce A. Brown (Rickey), Frances M. Barrett, Roslyn E. Gibson, Phyllis A. Carter (Keith), William C. Gibson, Larry Gibson, Dean Gibson (Tina), Dale Gibson (Tomvette), and David J. Gibson. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended family that she loved dearly.

The family will receive visitors at 10:30am on Monday, June 14, followed by a homegoing service at 11:30am Both will take place at Genesis Baptist Church, 2812 E. Bessemer Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405. Flowers and memorial cards will be received by the family at 586 Finish Line Drive, Whitsett, NC 27377.
