Mrs. Shakira Marsh passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023.

A service honoring her life will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church; 1210 S Eugene St., Greensboro, NC 27406. The visitation will begin at 10:30 am and the service will follow at 11 am.

The burial will take place following the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery; 3901 Forest Lawn Dr., Greensboro, NC 27455.

Shakira McGirt Marsh, daughter of Donna McGirt and Jesse Bennett, was born on April 11, 1977 and departed this life on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

She was a dedicated receptionist at Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), phlebotomist, and received her certificate for MedTech. She was also a fan of the Carolina Tarheels, San Francisco 49ers, and Rocky Balboa.

Shakira was preceded in death by her grandfather: Jerome McGirt.

Those left to cherish her loving memories are her husband of 13 years: Mr. Korrey L. Marsh of the home; her five children: NaQwon L. McGirt, Korrey R. Marsh of Charlotte, Paris E. Marsh, Gizelle K. Marsh, and Braelin K. Marsh of Greensboro; her grandmother: Jackie McGirt; her mother: Donna McGirt; her father: Jesse Bennett; her brother: Billy K. McGirt of Greensboro; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews; and other close relatives and friends.
