Shafford Jarmane Bess was born March 4, 1979, in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was the son of Martin Bess Sr., and the late Mrs. Anne Bess Shafford departedthis earthly life on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.SHAFFORD loved his family. He loved listening to music, watching TV, and eating at restaurants especially Bojangles and Boss Hogs. Shafford had a wonderful smile. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Sylvanglade Services.

SHAFFORD was preceded in death by his mother Annie Bess. He leaves to cherish his memories father, Martin Bess Sr., Brother Martin E. Bess Jr., Aunt Virgina Perry, Aunt Loretha Byers, Aunt Mattie Louise Jordan, and Uncle Charles Bess all of Greensboro, North Carolina with a host of cousins, family, and friends. A special thanks to Shafford's caregivers Steven Davis and Arthur McCrimmon.

"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the way. Of happy times and laughing times, and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when this life is done."

Funeral will be held Monday, June 3, 2024 11:30am Reid Memorial CME Church 1010 Bennett Street Greensboro, North Carolina. 11am Visitation. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
