Obituary

Mr. Samuel Henderson (also called Sam Jr.), son of the late Mr. Will Coleman and the late Ms. Annie Mae Henderson Coleman, was born in Westminster, South Carolina on September 14, 1937 and was called to eternal rest on July 22, 2014 at his home. He was a graduate of James B. Dudley High School and immediately started working with the City of Greensboro. After working here for a while, he moved to South Carolina where he continued working with the city there. Sam enjoyed sports of all kind. He loved to see people happy and did what he could to make them happy. Sam would always say "Love makes the world go round and live and let live". He always cried when he was touched by someone's kindness and love. Same loved his family strongly, especially his nephews. In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Warren. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Lisa Rose of Georgia, son, Sammy Louis of Greensboro N.C., a granddaughter, sisters, Minister Jean Williams (Thomas), Gladys Ingram, Ruth Tisdale, of Greensboro, N.C., Vada Wiley (Nathaniel) of South Carolina, brothers, Eddie Coleman (Gloria) of Greensboro, N.C., Jonah Grant (Annie Pearl) and Nathaniel Grant of South Carolina, an adopted brother Bobby Jones of Greensboro, N.C., special pals, Zion and D.C., special friend and caretaker, Cheryl Banks and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
