Fisher, Pastor Officiating~Reflections~Ruby Glenn Maynard, daughter of the late Jim Glenn and Laura Y. Graddic was born on March 3, 1931 in Winnsboro, South Carolina. She departed her life on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital.Ruby, as she was fondly called, was married to the late Charles E. Maynard. She was also preceded in death by her two sons, James Maynard and Melvin Maynard. She was a faithful member of Saint Paul Baptist Church until her recent illness. Ruby was employed at Cone Mill Plant for twenty-eight years until it closed. She later worked at Wesley Long Hospital until she retired. Ruby leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Patricia Ellis, Joyce Rankin (Nelson), Jennifer Thompson, and Glenda Maynard (Roger); sons, Charles Maynard (Delores), and Garry Maynard (Gail); sisters, Maggie Lash of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Sally Glenn of New York City, New York; brothers, Herbert Workman of South Carolina, and Jack Workman of New York City, New York; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a special friend, Jenene Grier; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends who loved her dearly, but God loved her best.
