Mrs. Rosa Lee Mitchell, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00 am United Institutional Baptist Church. 10:30 am Visitation. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Rosalee Thomas Mitchell entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Rosalee was born September 9, 1917 in Yamasee South Carolina to the late Fred and Lillian Thomas. Rosalee was married to the late Melvin Mitchell. From this union two children were born, Charles and Margaret.

Rosalee was an avid fisherwoman. She loved working in her garden and planting flowers in her yard. Most of all Rosalee loved to cook for and serve others. Roselee was a member of United Institutional Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was a member of Ward-4, the nursing club, usher board and gospel choir. She was also a founding member of the Royal Social Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Melvin Mitchell; son: Charles Mitchell; daughter: Margaret McNairy; and grandson: Oneal McNairy.

Those left to cherish her loving memories are granddaughters: Betty Walker, Reverend Sinda Lewis, and Joyce Mcnairy; grandsons: Leroy Mitchell (Rose) and Michael McNairy; sixteen great grandchildren; nineteen great-great grandchildren; four great-great great grandchildren; a godchild: Ernest Canada; a sister-friend: Doris Canada; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
