She moved to Greensboro as a young child and graduated from James B. She later joined United Institutional Baptist Church. Rosa and James had a twenty-year military life, stationed in many states and abroad (Germany and Italy). She enjoyed the experiences she had and the friends she met. Our mother was a person who never met a stranger and had a loving and large smile when greeting friends and family. She had an outgoing personality, loved gatherings with those she loved, and was a fashionable lady. Rosa loved her jobs at Amp Inc. and Park Lane Hotel and still loves and meets up with her coworkers. Preceding her in death was her devoted husband, James T. Lane, her parents, her four brothers Johnny, David, James and Leon Jeffries, her four sisters Mattie Hart, Irene Walden, Nettie Jeter, and Christine Gibson. She leaves to mourn her children Crystal, Curtis (Thelma) and Jimmy (Jan) Lane, grandchildren Curtis Lamont and Michael Anthony Lane, special niece Linda (George) Blackwell, and a host of many nieces, nephews, and friends. She also leaves to mourn a special friend, William (Bill) Tate.
