Rosa Brandon Johnson born to the late John Eddie Brandon and the late Elizabeth Featherstone Brandon in Person County (Roxboro) North Carolina. The family were members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Roxboro. They moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1943. Rosa's education began in Harmony, VA and continued in Baltimore. She continued her education at the Community College of Baltimore and the University of Maryland. She was an assistant sales manager at the National Brewing Company and Deputy Executive Director for the Minority Supplier Development Counsel. Rosa was Business Enterprise Coordinator at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and retired after many years of service for minority small businesses. Her marriage to Frank Johnson ended in divorce. Of that union two children were born, Francina Iris and Ramona Marie. She was preceded in death by two sisters Lillie Stewart and Annie Ruth Maitland. Rosa is survived by her daughters Francina Jamison and Ramona Martin (Delars "Chico"); sisters Dr. Mary Kimble (Virginia Beach) Marie Savoy (Washington, DC) and John Brandon (Willa) Lancaster, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
