Roland Mckinley Eubanks, 90, departed this life on February 28, 2016. He was born on March 6, 1925 to the late Willie and Flossie Edwards Eubanks, in Chatham County, North Carolina. He was a WWII Veteran, Montford Point Marine, and Congressional Gold Medal recipient. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Avalee Farrar, two grandsons, two brothers, and six sisters.He is survived by his children, Lorina Matthews,Roland Eubanks, Bobbie Huntley(Neal), David Eubanks, William Eubanks (Hvera) of Greensboro, and Thomasina Eubanks, of Siler City. Ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, three brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A service honoring the life of Roland Eubanks will be held on Friday March 4, 2016, at Wesley Chapel Christian Fellowship Church, Highway 64 East, Siler City, North Carolina 27433. The visitation will begin at 12:30pm and the service will follow at 1:00pm. The Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
