Market Street, Greensboro, NC Reverend Everett Dickerson, OfficiatingReverend Vergal Nathaniel Graves was born in Caswell County in Yanceyville, North Carolina to the late Albert Graves and Hannah Watkins. He departed this world to be with his Heavenly Father on February 19, 2013.V. Nathaniel or (Preacher Graves) never met a stranger. He received Christ at an early age and was ordained to preach in 1975. He broadcasted a radio ministry on WEAL in Greensboro for over forty (40) years and the station still broadcast today, and a second radio ministry on WKEW. He served in the United States Army in World War II and was a member of the Minister Alliance.V. Nathaniel was a member of Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church for many years. In November of 1962 he married Grace Louise Wiley. He was preceded in death by his wife and son, Christopher Eugene Wiley.V. Nathaniel leaves to celebrate his home going, sons: Anthony Maurice Wiley and Derwin Jerome Graves (Valerie Wayman) all of Greensboro, North Carolina; daughters: Joyce Murrelle (Andy) of Manhattan, New York, Brenda Kaye Graves (Clifton Perry) of Greensboro, North Carolina, and LaDonna Annette Graves of Greensboro, North Carolina; brothers: Reverend Glennie Graves of South Hill, Virginia, Reverend Gennie Graves of Newport News, Virginia, Lee Poole, and Alvis Poole both of Yanceyville, North Carolina; eight (8) grandchildren; twelve (12) great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.AcknowledgementsThe family wishes to express their deep appreciationand sincere thanks for all acts of kindness shownthem in their time of sorrow.
