Obituary

Ray Aldo Dubois Enoch was born July 29, 1958 in Greensboro, NC, the oldest son of Christine Enoch McLemore and Jake McCoy. He departed this life on August 16, 2014 in Atlanta, GA, following an accident. Ray, raised by his maternal grandfather, Motie Enoch, grew up in the Summerfield community. He loved working along with Daddy Motie and Mazie Enoch ("Grandma Crews") on the farm: raising tobacco and vegetables; taking care of the farm animals; and building and repairing mechanical items. He attended the Guilford County Public Schools. While in high School, Ray was a member of the school's wrestling teams and won many wrestling matches in his weight division. Ray joined the United States Navy, serving for four years, and received an Honorable Discharge. Ray was a great thinker, inventor, and innovator. He loved discussing philosophical ideas. From His mother Christine and other relatives, Ray learned the art of recognizing antiques and collectibles. He enjoyed searching for antiques and other items to give to family and friends. After moving to Atlanta in the late 1980's, Ray formed his own carpet and upholstery cleaning business in addition to a landscaping business. Recently, Ray was enrolled at Piedmont Community College in Decatur, GA. Ray was predeceased by his father, Jake McCoy; grandparents, Motie and Mazie Enoch, and Maggie McCoy.
