Mrs. Ralphine K. Banks was born March 15, 1960, to the late Samuel and Hattie Tatum. She departed this life in Morganton, NC on December 11, 2020. She was a native of Guilford county and a graduate of the class 1980 from NC School for the Deaf. She was a employed by the US Postal Service.

Ralphine's infectious smile and the love she showed to her family will be greatly missed. Although she was deaf, she could communicate with vivid expressions. She was reared in the Bass Chapel community.

She was married to Michael Banks and two children were born from this union, Alicia and Michael, Jr. Her children were the apple of her eye and family times together were special. Her daughter was instrumental in making sure her mom visited family when in Greensboro.

In addition to her parents Ralphine was preceded in death by her brother Elder Kenneth Tatum and sister, Monica Warren. Left to treasure her precious memories are her daughter, Alicia Banks, son, Michael (LeGarria); sister, Tonya Tatum; six grandchildren: Kylee, Melody, Layla, C'Miya, Noah, Logan, and host of family and friends.

A special "THANK YOU" to Brianna Smith-Moore for the care and love she had shown to Ralphine.

A public viewing will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 from 4pm-6pm in the Cassie Coote-Brown Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.
