Ingram, Sr.Officiating~Reflections~Phillip Nolan Lyles went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2011 after resting at Beacon Place Hospice and Palliative Care. Phillip graduated from James B. Dudley High School Class of 1966. Following graduation, he served three (3) years in the United States Army. He was employed by Diesel Equipment Company for thirty-seven (37) years. He was a member of Swift Street African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, and was a member of the Class of â??66 Alumni Chapter of Dudley High School.Butch was a track athlete at James B. Dudley and was an avid bicycle rider. For years, folks knew him for driving his yellow Volkswagen â??Bugâ??. He was also known as â??Short Gangâ?? on the CB Handle and was a true Pittsburg Steelers fan, often watching the games with his niece, Candice.Phillip was preceded in death by his parents: John Nolan and Dorothy Mae Lyles. Left to mourn his passing is his wife: Carolyn Lyles; daughter, Penny Alford; son, Damien Oâ??Neal Cole; daughter, Jamila Holt; five (5) grandchildren: Brittney, Jessica, Kedrea, Deonta, and Deshawn; sister: Barbara Lyles Graves; brother, Dwight Oâ??Neal Lyles; and special neice: Candice N. Graves; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
