Mrs. Pearl Durham departed this life and went onto the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 13, 2023 in the comfort of her home in Greensboro, NC.

Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Saint James Presbyterian Church, 820 Ross Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405. Service will begin at 1:30 p.m., family visitation at 1:00 p.m., and burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Greensboro, NC.

Pearl is preceded in death by her son, Clarence S. Durham Jr,; parents Alexander and Mamie Everette; sister Mae Pickett; brothers Joe Everette, Jimmy Everette and Charles Everette and nephews Thomas McLeod, Jr and Wendell McLeod. Pearl is survived by husband of 67 years, Clarence S. Durham, Sr of Rocky Point; sons Gerald L. Durham, Sr (Angelina Durham) of Greensboro, NC and Darryl S. Durham of New Orleans, LA; daughter Gina M. Durham Wallace (Tyrone Wallace) of Garner, NC; sisters Geraldine E. McLeod (Thomas McLeod) of Rocky Point, and Mary E. Williams of Atlanta, GA; Grandchildren Kim R. Beatty, Gerald L. Durham Jr, David L. Wallace (Apriel Valese), Christopher R Wallace (Brittney Lee), and Caleb Durham. Great Grandchildren Kyle T. Brooks, SaBella M.Valese-Wallace, Nailani G. Wallace, and Nevaeh K. Wallace; Great Great Grandchild Zimri A. Chase-Brooks; God Daughter Janet Davis-Stewart of Greensboro NC. She leaves behind extended family, a host of nieces, nephews, friends, church members, and sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha that will forever cherish her memory. The family would like to thank Dr. Cynthia White of Eagle Family Medicine @ Triad. We also thank Gracie "Cheryl" Hoskins, Amanda Wilson, Lawanda "Bessie" Graham, and Doretha "Doll" McNeil for providing their love, support, and care during Pearl's in-home care. Additionally, we would like to thank all attending her celebration of life.
