Patricia Maynard Ellis, daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Maynard was born January 4, 1951 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She departed this life on February 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by her Family. "Chubby or Nana", as she was fondly called, was married to the late Michael V. Ellis. She was preceded in death by her son: Shawn Ellis Sr. and brothers: Charles, James and Melvin Maynard. Chubby was employed at Gilbarco for twenty (20) years until she retired. Chubby leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughters: Angela Maynard (Anthony) of Greensboro, and Desiree Cole (Muhammad) of Hampton, Virginia; sisters: Glenda Maynard, Jennifer Thompson, Joyce Rankin, Linda and Teresa Herbin, all of Greensboro; brother: Gary Maynard of Greensboro; grandchildren: Tia, Quantae, Michael, Brittany, Rashieka, Shyheim, Shawn Jr.; great grandchildren: Kiara, Lyric, Ayden, and Mathias; a very special and dear aunt: Maggie; special friends, Edna, Janice and Veronica; and a host of other Family and friends that loved her dearly. But, God loved her best. A service honoring her life will be held at the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel; 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27401 on Friday, February 16, 2018. The visitation will begin at 12:30 pm and the service will follow at 1:00 pm. The interment will take place following the service at Lakeview Memorial Park; 3600 N Ohenry Boulevard, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27405.
