Mrs. Ottie Mae Shamberger, age 88, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Statesville, North Carolina.

Born on May 26,1930 in Randolph County to the late David C. and Adeline Leach, Ottie was retired from P. Lorillard Tobacco Company after more than 30 years of service.

Until her failing health, she loved to dance, was an avid bowler and member of Sharpe Road Church of Christ in Greensboro, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shamberger was preceded in death by her sisters: Ruby Scotten, Sarah Bell, Stella Brady and brothers: James Oliver Leach, Dewey Clinton Leach and Harvey Arthur Leach. Survivors include brothers George Raymond Leach of Seagrove, NC; David Vernon Leach Jr. of Asheboro, NC and sister Inola (William) Jones of Statesville, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.
