Nathaniel Joseph Boone was born on February 19,1997 to the parents of Leslie McKenzie and the late Daniel Boone in Norfolk Virginia, his current residence was Greensboro North Carolina. Nathaniel accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Nathaniel received his formal education at Northern High School in Greensboro North Carolina where he graduated with Honors. After graduation he initially enrolled at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, then later attended High Point University and was most recently enrolled at Western Governors University where he wanted to pursue studies in criminal justice with plans to become a judge. Nathaniel was always known as an over-achiever. In high school he was in the Honor Society and made the Dean's list several times during his matriculation in college. Among the many organizations he was a member of Upward Bound Program in High School, he took Kuk sool won- martial arts, he was a part of The National Academy for Future Physicians, he was Mr. Freshman during his time at NC A&T SU Middle College. December 29,2014 life for Nathaniel was forever changed. Nathaniel developed Transverse Myelitis which rendered him paralyzed chest down. Despite this disorder, it never affected his personality and his ability to pursue his dreams. Nathaniel will most be remembered for his smart, loving, friendly, engaging personality who smile touched everyone he met. Nathaniel with his medical struggles always had a kind word of encouragement for others. Nathaniel Boone departed this life on Sunday, February 11,2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Boone. He leaves to cherish his memory to his mother, Leslie Mckenzie and step-father Sylvester McKenzie. Four sisters; Monique Stephens- Melton(Kaisin), Starsha Boone (Reggie), Erika Quinlan, Natasha Stephens. Grand-Parents Royce and Claudette Stephens; Annette Stephens. Four; Nephews Omar Stephens, Mackel Stephens and Lammon "LJ" Ringgold Jr, Revon Boone. Two; nieces Shiya Boone, Reminisce Boone and a host of family and friends. A service honoring his life will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church; 2700 West Vandalia Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407 on Monday, February 19, 2018. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm.
