Nancy Adger was born March 30, 1952 to the late Richard and Vashti Adger in Winnsboro, SC. Nancy grew up in Greensboro, NC and attended Caldwell Elementary, Lincoln Junior High and graduated from Dudley High School (Class of 1970). After Nancy graduated from high school, she went on to study Early Childhood Education at NCA&TSU. Her first job was with Southern Bell, then American Express, and she was employed by the Guilford County School Transportation Division at the time of her death. After a brief illness she departed her life on July 15, 2023.

Nancy loved her family, baking cookies, planting flowers, talking on the phone, and sharing stories of the children on the bus. She collected cookbooks, and had an extensive collection of love word art and artifacts.

She was predeceased by her Brother Willie Adger, Sister Josephine Collins, Brother Richard Adger, and Brother in law Roy Collins. She is survived by her Sister, Eileen Wooten (Felton), Nieces Eileen "Nikki" Collins, Shannan Holloway (Harold), Jessica Wooten, and a Great Niece Harper Holloway. First Cousins Curtis Moore, Betty Franklin, Nancy Perry, Sister in law Joyce Adger and other extended family members. A memorial service will be held at Trinity AME Zion Church, 631 E. Florida Street, Greensboro, NC 27406 on Thursday July 20 th . The family hour will begin at 11:30 AM, followed by the service at 12:00 PM.
