Norman Keith Everett, affectionately known as “Keith” to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at the age of 69.
Keith was born on Monday May 21, 1956, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late Gladys K. and Jesse W. Everett Sr. He was a proud graduate of Page High School, Class of 1974, where he played football and was a member of the band, playing the tuba. Keith joined the US Navy after graduation and served our country with pride.
Keith built a life rooted in dedication and passion. After his discharge from the Navy, Keith worked in the textile field with Cone Mills and Burlington Industries, where he also played baseball. He served more than 10 years as a beverage distributor with Lamb Distributors, serving patrons in Greensboro and surrounding counties, but he also worked as a caddy from an early age and later professionally for more than 25 years in Georgia, where he greatly enjoyed it.
He was known for his quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love for the game. More importantly, Keith was a believer in Christ. His foundation began at home at an early age and continued to grow at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church under Rev. and Mrs. CC Crawford; this faith carried him throughout his life.
Keith was known to be loving, compassionate and dedicated with a huge sense of humor. He loved his family and friends dearly.
He is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved parents, Jesse and Gladys Everett. Keith leaves to cherish his memory his loving sisters, Jacqueline Murphy (Jimmie), Jayne Everett, and Willie Mae Everett; his brothers, Donzell Everett (Margie) and Jesse Everett Jr. (Dianne); along with a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.
