Mary Ella Tatum Davis was born to Maggie Tatum Oglesby and the late Denwood Thomas Tatum on May 24, 1950.

Mary attended James B. Dudley High School. She was employed at the Greensboro College where she worked in food and nutrition until her health started failing.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband: Wayland Davis; father: Denwood Thomas Tatum; brother: Ernest Tatum; sisters: Virginia Benton, Flossie T. Lynn and Irene Lee.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories mother: Maggie Oglesby; brother: George Tatum; sister: Ethel Moore; stepsons: Tony, Keith and Kenny Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
