June 8, 1927 October 2, 2022 Mary L. Hines was peacefully called home on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Palliative Care Beacon Place Greensboro N.C. Born June 8, 1927 in Roseboro N.C. to the late Maggie and Tobe Hines She is preceded in death by 10 siblings. Mary attended Sanford City Schools, after moving to Greensboro N.C. she enrolled in North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics. Mary also received her Master's Degree from (Teachers College) formerly, now Columbia University in New York City.

Mary was a long time member of Trinity A. M. E. Zion Church for 70 years or more. Survivors include son, Michael A. Hines, Grandchildren, Sharada Hines, Cynthia Hines and Terra Hines of San Antoni , Texas.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity A. M. E. Zion Church 631 E. Florida St Greensboro N.C. Visitation will be held at 11:30a.m. with services starting at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery.
