Mary Rosetta Donnell began her life on April 25, 1940 and left this world on February 5, 2022. She was the daughter of Charles Wesley Donnell and Fannie Evans Donnell. She attended J.C. Price School and graduated from James B. Dudley High School.

Mary was employed by J. P. Stevens and West Point. She was a faithful member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church. She was involved in many church groups and activities and a dedicated member of the usher board. Outside of church, Mary enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved sewing for everyone. She also enjoyed played cards, especially spades and bid whist.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Larry Donnell; brother, James Donnell (Leola); sister, Jacqueline Donnell; nieces, Stephanie and Joyetta; nephews, Joseph and Lionel; and a host of close cousins, other relatives and friends.

A service honoring her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church 600 E. Florida Street, Greensboro, NC 27406.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm.

Interment will be at Piedmont Cemetery.
