GREENSBORO - Martha Foster was granted her angel wings on April 20, 2013. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Martha had touched in so many ways throughout her memorable life. A life that would seem simple to many, but those who were close to her understood the quality and quantity of time in which she lived. Martha's advice brought so much joy to her family. Throughout her life's journey, she built a family that listens with love, shares truths and treasures memories; a family bond anchored in the love she gave to everyone each and every day. Martha leaves to cherish her memories longtime companion, Carl W. Brower, Sr. her seven children; Monica (Ulysses. C. Jr.), Terri (Stanley M.), Cheryl, Sheron, Regina, Cynthia (Tony P.) and April and Carl's three children, Carl Jr., Drew, and Myra (Harry W.); eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her only surviving aunt, Daisy Walker, close family friends Ernest and Kathryn Lawson and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home. A burial service will be conducted immediately following the funeral service at Lakeview Cemetery
