Maria Gale Wall Howell, 64, of Greensboro, died Thursday, April 3, 2014. She is preceded in death by her father, James Smith Wall, Jr., and daughter, Constance 'Connie' Denise Patton.

Gale's life was truly dedicated to the love and caring of her family. She had a very tender heart, but the most giving heart of anyone. She had a love for all animals and all children. Early in her life she greatly enjoyed her time she spent as a teacher's aide working with young children. Most of all, she was committed to being a homemaker and caring for her grandchildren.

Gale is survived by her husband, Joseph Michael 'Mike' Howell; mother, Doris L. Wall; sons, James Bryan Patton and James Harrison Patton, III (Becky); daughters, Bonnie Maria Estrada (Victor) and Sharon Leanne Garcia (Leo); siblings, Brenda Wall Broadwell (Larry) Jamey Wall Vanness (Emmitt), James Smith Wall III (Denise), Rebecca Wall Simpson (Danny).

Gale is also survived by nine (9) grandchildren, Kristen, Jay, Bella, Ashly, Jacob, Cody, Alex, Erica, and Daniel; one great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
