Mrs. Margareta Holland Thomas of 6101 Colwyn Court Greensboro, NC was born on September 30, 1957, and was the daughter of Norma Hazel Holland and the late Andrew William Holland, Sr. God saw fit to open up his heavenly arms and call his precious angel home on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Margareta was a native of Beaufort, North Carolina and attended Shaw University in Raleigh. Margareta was beautiful inside and out and extremely loved by all who knew her. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was an active member of St. James Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board and Youth Ministry. Margareta retired from Serta Mattress Company where she worked as a Customer Service Specialist for over 20 years. Margareta was preceded in death by her father, Andrew William Holland, Sr. Left to cherish precious memories of her warm smile is her loving husband of 29 years, Lonnie Thomas, Jr., son, Wayne Anthony Becton, Jr., daughter, Alona Lavay Thomas, grandsons, Andrew Becton and Kobe Marshall, mother, Norma Hazel Holland, one brother Andrew Holland Jr., (Anita), two nephews, Eric Holland and Antonio Faulks, one niece, Antonique Faulks, one great nephew, Ayce Webb, two special sister-cousins, Millicent â??Mitâ?? Mclean and Sheila Cuthbertson (Todd), five aunts, four uncles and a host of relatives and friends. The family will be accepting visitors at the Thomas home at 6101 Colwyn Court, Greensboro, NC. Perry J. Brown Funeral home is handling the arrangements and the homegoing services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019, there will be a viewing at 11:00am with the funeral to begin at 11:30am at St. James Baptist Church, 536 West Florida Street Greensboro, NC 27406.
