Margaret Evans Chandler was born March 22, 1928 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Grady Evans and Sophronia Cummings. She departed this life on February 19, 208. She was married to John E. Chandler Jr. for 50 years. During this union, two children were born Maurice and Donna. Margaret worked at Sears, Inc. for a short time but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of Summerfield Peace United Methodist Church in Summerfield, NC. She leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Maurice and Donna two granddaughters, Stephanie and Victoria, three great-grandsons Diego, Nicolas and Aiden, and a host of family and friends.A service honoring her life will be held at Summerfield Peace United Methodist Church; 2334 Scalesville Road, Summerfield, NC 27358 on Thursday, February 22, 2018. The visitation will begin at 12:30 pm and the service will follow at 1:00 pm. The interment will take place following the service at Carolina Biblical Gardens; 5710 Riverdale Dr, Jamestown, NC 27282.
