Mrs. Mabel Lewis passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

A service honoring her life will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home; 909 E. Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina 27401. The service will begin at 1 pm.

Mrs. Mable Williamson Lewis, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Greenhaven Health and Rehabilitation Center of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Born April 19, 1933 in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Williamson (mother) and Walter Moore (father). Educated in the Guilford County School System, she graduated from James B. Dudley High School in the class of 1950. She serviced her community, being a choir director for the children's choir of New Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member. She also helped raise children of her family and community. Some of her hobbies were sewing, watching children, playing the pick 3, as well as games on her computer. She also enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Johnnie Lewis of Greensboro, North Carolina; her daughters Annette Speaks (Felton Gibbs) of Greensboro, North Carolina and Patricia Page of Charlotte, North Carolina; her grandchildren David Williamson of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Jessica Speaks of Atlanta, Georgia, Irvinleanna Lewis of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Joshua Mokwunye of Charlotte, North Carolina; her great-grandchildren Leanna Lewis and Le'Mira Fleming of Greensboro, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
