Mr. Lonnie Deberry, Jr. passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026 12:30pm St. Phillip AMEZion Church 1330 Ashe Street Greensboro, North Carolina. Visitation 12pm. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park 3600 N. O'Henry Boulevard Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mr. Lonnie Deberry, Jr. passed at Hospice Home at High Point. He was born in Wadesboro, North Carolina, to Mr. Lonnie Deberry and Daisy Harris.

Mr. Deberry was a member of St. Phillip AME Zion Church, where he served as a trustee, Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, and member of the Men’s Booster Club, Gospel Choir, and Men’s Chorus.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Dorothy Hill Deberry; his children, Michael Hill, Roland Stinson, Inez Clark, and Melessia Smith; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
