Lizzie Ann Mungo Carelock, age 70, transitioned from her earthly life on October 7, 2018. She spent her entire life nourishing her family and friends with love. Lizzie attended school in Kershaw, SC. She later moved to Greensboro, NC where she met her husband James C. Carelock of 51 years. She worked in the food industry, and enjoyed shopping, working in the yard, and fishing. She faithfully attended Church at the Holy Prayer House in Greensboro, NC.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Ernestine Mungo and Father, L.E. Mungo, four brothers and two sisters and son James Christopher Carelock.

She leaves to mourn her husband, James C. Carelock; her children Betty Carelock (Robert), Mary Carelock (Michael), Lisa Green (Mark) and Lisa Arrington all of Greensboro, NC; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Mary M. Patterson (Keith) of Greensboro, NC and a brother Melton Mungo (Clara) of Brown Summit, NC and very special cousin Mary Lou Clyburn and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 11, 2018 at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home located on 909 East Market St. Greensboro, NC 27401. Viewing of the body will be from 12:30-1:00 pm and services will begin at 1:00pm.
