Linda Annette Monroe was born June 4, 1948 to the late Robert and Pearl Monroe. Linda attended New York City Public Schools. She graduated from the Brooklyn School of Nursing in New City. She was an employee at Montefiore Hospital in New York City and retired after twenty (20) years of service. Linda was the mother of Tajiri and TaNile Woodberry. TaNile preceded Linda in death. Linda attended Revivaltime House of Prayer in Bronx, New York; where she accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. In the 90s Linda relocated to Greensboro, NC with her children. She continued to work in nursing in different capacities, concluding at Accordant. The family joined Sanctuary Deliverance Church after a serious car wreck which resulted in TaNile becoming a quadriplegic. They moved across the street from Mount Zion Baptist Church and later became members. Linda continued to be an active member until her health declined. Linda leaves cherished memories to son: Tajiri Woodberry of Greensboro; brother: Alonzo E. Lawrence of Bronx, NY; sisters: Vernal L. Coburn (Jimmy Coburn) of Mt. Pocono, P.A., Patricia M. Monroe of Bronx, NY; granddaughter: Anaya Woodberry of Greensboro; aunts: Louise Smalls of Charleston, SC, and Eleanor Major of Bronx, NY; nieces: Tracey M. Lawrence of Queens, NY, Shawan E. Fox, Bethlehem, PA, Letta A. Smith (Reginald Smith) of Bethlehem, PA; nephews: Alonzo E. Lawrence, Jr. of Norfolk. VA, Sean J. Lawrence of Los Angeles, CA, Lyndell Ladson of Syracuse, NY; special cousins: Blondell and Harold Seabrook; a host of relatives, friends and a special loving "Fourth Sister" Lydia Young.
