Linda Joyce Bost Ebron passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, May 9, 2020 due to complications associated with colon cancer.She was born November 16, 1947 in Salisbury, NC to the late William and Eva Bost. She was educated in the Rowan-Salisbury School System, graduating with honors from J.C. Price High School in 1966. She continued her education at Bennett College and graduated with honors with a degree in Home Economics in 1970.Linda worked as a teacher in North Carolina, completing her tenure at High Point Central High School after over 30 years of service. Even after retiring from the school system, she continued to tutor students. She was an educator at heart. Dedication was the pulse of her life. A devout member of Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church in Greensboro, NC, she served on the Senior Usher Board as president, Parent Body Number One Missionary Society, Life Members Council of the Missionaries Society, Lay Council, co-chair of the Simeon Tribe, and as a tutor for the After School Program. She was inducted into the Half Century Club of the A.M.E. Zion Church, honoring her 50 years of service to the church. Linda also was a recognized 50 year member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Service was the hallmark of her membership. She actively participated in public advocacy, census work, and voter registration through the Beta Iota Omega chapter, including its Connections Committee, Membership Committee, and Retired Sorors Network.In addition to her love for teaching, the church, and her sorority sisterhood, Linda was passionate about the beach, music of all kinds, dancing, sports, cooking, and most of all, her beloved family. Linda leaves to cherish her memory a husband, Eugene "Clyde" Ebron; one son, Eugene Ebron; one sister, Randi Bost; one niece, L. Michelle Delattiboudare; one nephew, Freddie Turner, Jr.; and one step-daughter Andrea Ebron, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. They will keep the flame of her memory alive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Beta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. or Bennett College, Institutional Advancement fund.Memorial and Visitation: A private memorial service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.
