Lessie Arlean Hunter, daughter of the late Estelle Knight and Hugh Ward. Lessie was born in Edgecombe County, N.C. in 193. She was called home to glory on Thursday, April 23, 2020. She received her education in Edgecombe County, N.C. She later went to reside to New York City, where she worked numerous jobs to support her children, with her late husband whom she United in marriage with, Julius Braswell. Lessie was a very loving person, love to clean, cook, and she always definitely loved to travel most of all. She is preceded in death by her parents Hugh Ward and Estelle Knight, her daughter: Maritha Braswell, and two sons David and Freddie Knight. Two sisters Clara Hines and Maggie Knight. She leaves to mourn: Her children Danny, Stewart, and Reggie Braswell and her daughter Debra Braswell. Two Sisters Mary Lawrence, Estelle Knight and one brother James Knight . Grandchildren: Shameeka Birdsong, Julius Burley and Camara Hill. With 6 greats from Julius, 3 great grands from Shameeka and numerous nieces and nephews.
